Honoring Our Heritage
Port San Antonio is committed to preserving and honoring the rich military heritage of our campus. The monuments, historic markers, and commemorative bricks that once stood in the General Hudnell Drive park have been carefully removed, catalogued, and placed in secure storage as part of campus development activities.
Memorial Items in Storage
The following items have been preserved and are being carefully maintained:
- Monuments - Memorial structures honoring Air Force and Kelly personnel
- Historic Markers - Plaques and markers documenting significant events and achievements
- Commemorative Bricks - Individual bricks honoring service members and employees
Relocation Plans
All memorial items will be redistributed to new campus locations as development plans progress. Port San Antonio is committed to ensuring these important pieces of history remain accessible to the public and continue to honor the men and women who served at Kelly Air Force Base.
What This Commemorates
These monuments and markers honor the service and sacrifice of:
